Bio:
Well Basically My name is Matt Jones but my nick names are Jatt, Jatt Mones or Jonesy. I am 20 years of age and I currently reside in Ventura California and I have lived here for 16 years. My house is like 7 houses away from the water and I can ride my bike to at least 3 good waves. When I was 13 I started surfing with my dad who has been surfing for around 40 years. My local Break is the dredge its kind of a local spot only, but my favorite waves to surf Are Emma Wood, Rincon and South Jetty. Currently my sponsors are Focus Apparel, Homegrown surf shop, Olas Mexican Grill, Epic Cameras, Cobian Sandals, and J7 Surfboards. Favorite surfboard is 5’10” “The Situation” model J7 board, there great for speed generation. My local heroes would have to be Dane Reynolds, Sean Hayes and Timmy Curran. I know I am like every other surfer when I say this but my favorite surfer would have to be Dane Reynolds because he rips and came out of the same town I live in. My goals in surfing would just be to become a role model for kids to look up to me, learn to surf by watching me and just helping them learn to rip.  Pretty much just be known as the local good surfer like Sean Hayes. Also I would love to try out a few Pro Juniors and see how that goes but becoming a paid free surfer, just travel, surf good waves and warm water sounds like the life to me.
